Description QinetiQ North America, a large multi-state, government contractor has an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist in our Albuquerque Shared Services office. You will perform a wide variety of complex functions relating to Payroll Accounting. Specifically:
• compute wage and overtime payments, calculate and record payroll deductions, process requests for paycheck advances
• balance and control earnings and deduction totals, calculate and prepare general ledger entries,
• inspect automated system output such as registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions,
• gather payroll data for inclusion in financial statements,
• calculate military and jury duty pay, and process garnishments and levies.
• Respond to and resolve payroll questions and issues.
Requirements Requires 6 or more years as a Payroll Specialist, prefer Bachelors degree.
(may substitute HSD plus 12 yrs payroll exp)

Must have experience processing payroll for large (3000 ee's), multi-state employee population

Experience with processing payroll for multiple unions.

Payroll processing experience for a government contractor

Experience with Deltek Time & Attendance and Costpoint applications.

Strong customer service skills.

Candidates will be subject to a Background Investigation.

US citizenship is required.
