Description Summary:

This position serves in a capacity as Assistant Product Manager and Subject Matter Expert for planning, coordinating, executing, and integrating the technical management efforts for the Kiowa Warrior New Build Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

General:
Lead and provide technical direction on discipline-related projects; provide guidance and direction for accomplishment of multiple, complex and interrelated projects; design and implement programs, projects or tasks; lead/manage multi-task projects of high complexity while providing primary interface with client management personnel regarding strategic issues; ensure completion of programs, projects or tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints; coordinate with all parties to tasks; review work products for completeness, and adherence to customer requirements; brief and lead strategic level client meetings.

Specific:
The incumbent is responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance associated with standing up the production capability of the Kiowa Warrior New Build Program, including all aspects of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of the program. Other duties include: Development of SOWs for Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) to define aircraft preparation requirements (configuration, GFE serviceability, schedule etc.) as well as final assembly requirements (configuration, component requirements, etc.). Additionally, incumbent will utilize the AMCOM Crash Damage Contract with Bell Helicopter to re-establish production capabilities as well as development of the Technical Data Package (TDP) for new-build cabin. This will require closely monitoring the cabin build and working issues (configuration, coordinating with IMMC, GFE etc.) as they arise. General support requirements across the various phases of the cabin build will include development of white papers and briefings, travel to CCAD at Corpus Christi TX and Bell Helicopter located in Ft. Worth, TX. In addition to the efforts described above, support is required to develop the RFP for procurement of the cabins. The RFP will be developed to support the procurement of cabins for new-builds as well as the procurement of cabins to support crash damage repair of OH-58D.

Education and/or Experience:

* Ph.D. degree in related discipline plus six (6) years of related experience;
* Masters degree in related discipline plus eight (8) years of experience;
* Bachelors degree in related discipline plus ten (10) years of related experience;
* Or twelve (12) years of experience.
